OPAL BASE

OPAL BASE is a camouflage base for coating and leveling nails.

SPECIAL FEATURES

• slightly acidic: pH 5–6

• elastic and flexible

• high opacity due to intense pigmentation

• minimal shrinkage possible during wear time due to elasticity

• medium consistency

• durability without lifting: 3–4 weeks

• neutral odor

• hypoallergenic

• easy to remove (filing or remover)

• does not run and self-levels quickly

• requires a base coat with Rubber Base LUNAmoon

• not suitable for leveling long nails without prior reinforcement

• curing time: 120 seconds

• recommended lamp power: 36–48 W (original device required)

• recommended thickness at the free nail edge: 0.5 mm

• thixotropic (becomes more fluid when worked)

APPLICATION

• remove old material

• do not shorten nail shape significantly or leave approx. 2 mm length

• lightly dull nail surface with a 220 grit file or a 100 grit buffer (without pressure)

• perform manicure

• wash hands with soap and water after using removers

• degrease nails with Nail Prep (2 passes):

  • 1. pass: clean surface

  • 2. pass: thoroughly clean cuticle areas with a wooden stick and cloth

• primer optional (not necessary if base is sufficiently acidic)

• apply Rubber Base LUNAmoon as a base coat with a flat gel brush in rubbing motions

• carefully work all areas and cure for 60 seconds

• remove dispersion layer

• perform leveling with OPAL BASE LUNAmoon and cure for 90 seconds

• file shape after building (for stable free edge)

• remove dispersion layer

• seal with top coat and cure for 120 seconds

• after curing, do not wipe to maintain shine
